ArianeCorp, China Satcom Establish Push-to-Talk JV

The Singaporean newspaper Business Times recently reported that Guangzhou Ariane Telecom Technology, which is China's telecommunications unit of Singaporean ArianeCorp, has reached an agreement with China Satcom (China Satellite Communications) to set up a 50 million RMB joint venture for the development and operation of a PTT (Push-To-Talk) digital trunking mobile communication system. China Satcom will take a 51% share in the joint venture, with ArianeCorp taking the remaining 49%. China Satcom will allocate a telecom license and a radio frequency to the joint venture for the PTT system's operations.
